Pavel Savkov was born on April 13, 2002. At the age of 16, he moved to Spain and joined the youth system of «Baskonia». The forward was loaned several times to Spanish clubs and in 2023 moved to the USA, joining the G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, «Birmingham».
Savkov made his debut for the Russian national team in 2021 in the qualifiers for EuroBasket 2022.
In the past season, Pavel made his EuroLeague debut with Baskonia, scoring his first points, and became the first Russian player in 21 years to start a game for a EuroLeague team not based in Russia.
