Artem was born on June 1, 1993, in Moscow, where he began playing basketball at «Trinta». Throughout his professional career, he has played for CSKA, Avtodor, Zenit, Ural, Sakhalin, Nizhny Novgorod, and UNICS. Komolov is a silver and three-time bronze medalist of the VTB United League.
