“Lokomotiv-Kuban” made a bid for youth team players – Vladislav Emchenko, Alexander Scherbenev, Andrey Martiuk and Zahar Vedischev got much time last season and extended their contracts. Johnathan Motley and Errick McCollum left Krasnodar, but Darral Willis came instead of them. “Lokomotiv” also renew the contract with Jaylen Barford, one of the best scorer of the last season.
Head coach of the team has also changed – Alexander Sekulic replaced Branko Maksimovic. Last season he worked in “Nymburk” (Czech Republic) and made it the campion of national league. Alexander is also the head coach of Slovenia national team, which sensationally lost in quarterfinal of Eurobasket vs Poland two weeks ago.
“Lokomotiv-Kuban” took 5th place on VTB United League SuperCup.

– We had 12 players on the last training session before leaving. We worked so good last weeks and ready for the tough game in Krasnodar. Regarding to “Lokomotiv”, it’s well-balanced team with a number of strong young players. Opponent also has two American scorers, they can become leaders of the team.
