Vyacheslav Zaytsev was born on August 28, 1989, in Leningrad. The point guard has played for Khimki, Enisey, Krasny Oktyabr, UNICS, and Uralmash throughout his career.
Zaytsev is a two-time VTB United League champion (2010/11, 2022/23) and a multiple-time league medalist. In the 2023/24 season, he won the Russian Cup with Uralmash.
In 2019 Zaytsev won the VTB United League All-Star Slam Dunk Contest. He has also been selected to the All-Star Weekend twice — in 2021 and 2025.
