Alexander was born on July 3, 1993, in the city of Bălți, Moldova, where he began playing basketball. At the age of 15, Gudumak moved to Moscow and joined CSKA’s youth system. He made his debut for the senior team of the army club at the age of 17.
In addition to CSKA, Alexander Gudumak has played for Avtodor, Krasnye Krylya, Sakhalin, Nizhny Novgorod, Yenisey, Vostok 65, Samara, and Lokomotiv-Kuban. Gudumak is a two-time champion of the VTB United League and a champion of the Super League.
In the past VTB United League season, the forward played 32 games (14 for Samara and 18 for Lokomotiv-Kuban), averaging 7.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists.
